Building Relationships at Surrey Heads Online Conference

Staff in education have been in survival mode since the pandemic hit and it has to be said they have done a cracking (and unenviable) job!

Working remotely and an increased workload has meant less connection and communication, and relationships have suffered as a result.

Surrey Head Teachers got together for an online conference in March and invited Laughology’s Kerry Leigh along to help them rebuild and strengthen relationships across the schools.

This virtual get-together was a great opportunity for people who haven’t connected in some time to catch up, and share ideas for ways to keep in touch, best practice and to support one another. Things might be ‘getting back to normal’ but the impact will be felt for years to come.

There were lots of laughs and some great discussion on the use of humour, how to create psychological safety and how to have better conversations.
