Neurodiversity Through Families – with St. James’ Place

As part of Neurodiversity celebration week, Victoria was invited to deliver a session on ‘Neurodiversity through families’ for St. James Place. The event brought together attendees from across the ‘connect’ network to share experiences, open communication channels and focus on support.
Often, when neurodiversity is highlighted in the workplace, conversations can turn to supporting loved ones. Humans are 95-97% motivated by how we feel, so it is no wonder that our nearest and dearest are at the forefront of our minds when we discuss these issues.
Therefore, it was wonderful that this session focused on our families and how to support friends and families across generations.
With the team, Victoria covered emotional resilience, differences in gender diagnoses, and how to access more support. It also encouraged communication, empathy, and allyship. Most importantly, it inspired discussion and allowed participants to share their personal experiences, advice, and breakthroughs to celebrate neurodiversity.
