Our Dave Keeling loves a keynote, and so off to Birmingham he went to contribute to a two-day conference for RNIB. The session was created to complement their new strategy and was titled ‘4 Keys to a Happy Culture’.
In 90-minutes, Dave covered the four pillars of psychological safety, which are
- Learning culture
- Fearless and collaborative teams
- Communication
- Support
To bring it to life, he encouraged the 150-strong audience at RNIB to join him in exploring:
- How to stay motivated and develop grit
- Risk-taking – shifting from knowing to doing
- CQ + PQ = IQ – the formula for engagement and collaboration
- Thinking and communication styles – the art of speaking four languages
- Active listening – to build long-lasting, effective relationships
The session flew by with a mixture of insight, activities, reflections, and lots of laughs. Dave knew it had gone well when the head of HR approached him at the end and just gave him a massive cuddle.
He’ll go anywhere for a cuddle!
