Helping Siemens build resilience and future-focus

To keep up in the tech world you need to innovate, adapt and think in the future. This can be exhausting, so looking after your people and ensuring they have the right skills is important.
This is why Siemens invited Stephanie Davies along to their conference to talk about resilience and how to build future-focused teams. keynote was an introduction to FLIP it thinking and the creation of positively engaged teams. The session included tips on how to ask the right questions when someone is stuck, using our ABC technique:
A: Audit – Check in with your team.
Where are you now and where do you want to be (this creates a future-focus and helps you understand what the reality is so everyone on actions)?
B: Brain-storm ideas of how to get to where you want to be.
Concentrate on quantity over quality, the important thing is to get ideas out. Have fun with it, any idea is a good idea.
C: Commitment
Decide together as a team on one or two commitments that you can all do to move forward.
The above technique can be used with individuals and teams and is helpful for many different situations. The important thing is the actions you all take away.
Exploring this with Siemens, as well as introducing our Happiness Drivers for engaging teams, helped the company to develop an action plan for people to take back.
