Positive Paula: Spreading the love in West Lancashire Community High School

West Lancashire Community High School happiness award nominees

Emilia Scott, a teacher at West Lancashire Community High School, has nominated 'Positive' Paula Dickinson for a National Happiness Award.

In her nomination, Emilia says: 'Paula is always trying to see the positive in everything and inspires and encourages others to do the same. She promotes student wellbeing through daily sensory circuits and general skilful approach to student issues as well as being a supportive colleague.

She goes on to say: 'Paula has supported student wellbeing walks and attended mental health first aid training. Paula brings in wellbeing treats to the staff room, using her own money to buy things like fruit and flowers.

'She is always proactively seeking opportunities to make our school community a happier, healthier place to be. Paula also supports a weekly Wellbeing intervention for students who need extra support. Keep spreading the love, Positive Paula!'
