It's been a busy time at happiness awards central command. The closing date for nominations is getting closer. Who would have thought everybody would leave their submissions until the last minute!

We wanted to share a compendium of our favourite nominations from this week with you. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we did.

Happiest School Employee

Chloe Dixon, a teacher at Marsh Infant and Nursery School, Wycombe has nominated Julie Gilies in the happiest school employee category of the awards. Chloe said; 'Julia brightens every day with her positivity, humour and laugh. She is incredibly nurturing and truly deserves the recognition. She has had a huge impact on so many peoples lives every day.'

Happiest Workplace person

Emma Turkington, an administrator from Leeds Beckett University, has nominated her work colleague, Julie Bagnall, in the happiest workplace person category of the awards.

Emma says, 'Julie is the happiest person in the university catering services department. Even on an early morning where she is supplying coffees and teas on a busy day, with lots of conferences, she still has a minute to smile and cheer everyone else up!

'Everyone at the university is amazed at how happy she is. And it's very infectious. I don't think she is aware of how many peoples days she impacts through this.'

Happiest team

Laura, a SEND teacher, has nominated the Carpool4school team in the happiest team category of the awards.

In her nomination, Laura said: 'They bring so much joy and happiness to so many people through their unique twist on teacher CPD.

'Their mission is simple: they want to bring a smile to your day, and at the same time engage more people with the latest educational research, pedagogy and literature. They have made such an impact already!'
