Kingfisher Special School has the most uplifting, beautiful kids you will ever meet - and it rocks!, according to Nicola Found, Director of Creative Learning at the school, a designated primary special school for children with complex and severe learning needs in Oldham.

Nicola says in her nomination for the Happiest School category of this year's National Happiness Awards: 'Kingfisher Special School rocks! The children who attend this school are the most uplifting beautiful kids you will ever meet!

'Despite life throwing them a rough deal you never hear them complain! They face life with a full-on 'I'm happy' attitude, and despite the odds given to them, they don't let anything stop them! There is an amazing and creative bunch of staff supporting the children at Kingfisher.

'Laughter is the key to success, and in partnership with the children makes Kingfisher Special School the happiest! If you came to visit us, you would take away with you real happiness. You have to witness and take in the vibe to truly understand why Kingfisher children and staff deserve this award!'
