Bolton consultancy, Boo Coaching & Consulting, nominated for a National Happiness Award 2018

Boo Coaching & Consulting, based in a magnificent 19th-century, grade II listed Bolton church called All Souls, is rooted in its community.

Passionate about making a difference, the team at Boo strive to have a positive social impact in its neighbourhood and create a happy workplace environment, with a strong focus on personal growth and wellbeing. Which is why Helen Smith, a Boo Learning Facilitator, thinks they deserve to win the Happiest Workplace 2108 award.

Helen, a Boo Learning Facilitator, said in her award nomination: 'Our business is coaching, mentoring and developing leaders. In a nutshell, we help bosses to be better bosses, but we know this is impossible unless we give our emotional health and wellbeing the attention it deserves.

'One of our core values is "Enjoying what we do with vibrancy and energy" and we do everything we can to keep ourselves, our colleagues, our clients and our communities as happy as they can be.'

Boo is a Living Wage employer and believes that a good work-life balance is essential to a happy workplace.

According to Helen: 'When it comes to happiness, we go back to basics. We are a Living Wage employer, ensuring that every member of our team is paid fairly for the work they do.'
