Laughologist Louisa Rodriguez runs an astounding 62.5 miles in Cumbria

In a display of true grit and endurance, Louisa Rodriguez tackled the challenging terrain of the Lakes Traverse on April 6th, completing an astounding 62.5-mile journey. The race, starting at St Bees on the Western Coast of Cumbria, weaved through the picturesque yet demanding landscapes of the Lake District, culminating in Shap on the eastern edge of Cumbria.

Louisa’s adventure was a testament to her limitless energy and drive through diverse terrains, including coastal paths, roads, fields, and trails, all while navigating the steep fells of the region. Her journey was not just a physical test but a feast for the senses, with stunning lakeside scenes offering a visual reward.

The formidable Storm Kathleen brought relentless high winds, turning the fells into difficult and dangerous terrains, but it was no opponent for our brilliant Laughologist Louisa. The saturated ground, a result of weeks of rain, transformed the trail into a muddy and boggy challenge that tested the limits of Louisa’s stamina and resolve.

Despite these hurdles, Louisa pressed on with unwavering determination. The final 15 miles saw a last-minute course change due to the adverse weather conditions, a small reprieve for her.

After crossing the finish line after 19 hours and 2 minutes, she not only conquered the Lakes Traverse but also marked a triumphant return to the Ultra-Running scene. Her accomplishment stands as a testament to the unyielding spirit she brings to every session she runs.

We think she’s truly awe-inspiring. Read more about Louisa here, and if you would like to book her for any of your workshops or to talk about mindset to your team, let us know. You can email Doug@laughology.co.uk
