Inclusion and diversity training at Morgan Sindall
We love it when we are given the chance to be even more creative to help our customers, so when Morgan Sindall got in touch to explore our inclusion and diversity training, specifically around the role of women, we jumped at the chance.
One of the MDs - Eldon Garnett - very much wanted to take a back step and hear the voices of the women themselves. A diverse group of women from different roles and backgrounds came together off-site to have some open and challenging conversations about how Morgan Sindall could be a better place to work.
This isn’t the first time Laughology has worked with Morgan Sindall - as we’ve delivered our popular Growth Mindset and Flip-It Thinking workshops to the team - and so we knew we’d enjoy ourselves. With our trademark humour to break down barriers, the conversation soon flowed, and after warming up the room, Kerry facilitated the afternoon using the carousel-style method where all participants had the opportunity to rotate around the room and review each topic.
Some of the topics discussed were opportunities for women's development and flexible working. All the key points were captured and fed back to Morgan Sindall for reflection and consideration of the next steps. There was quite a buzz by the end of the afternoon as it had been an opportunity to provide people with a voice and let them know they are heard and taken seriously (in a fun environment), which makes employees feel valued.
