Stephanie Davies

Creative Director and Laughology’s cognitive laughter and humour consultant, Stephanie Davies has over 10 years experience which has gained her an unsurpassed reputation for designing and delivering interventions for businesses, practitioners, clients, young people and adults. Stephanie is recognised as one of the world’s leading voices in laughter and humour. She was recently invited to develop and deliver the UK’s first MA courses on Humour in the Workplace and has an Honorary Lectureship at the University of Chester, Department of work-based learning.

On leaving Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2002 she began performing stand-up comedy, firing her fascination with the power of laughter and humour. After attending Dr Kataria’s Laughter Leader course Stephanie was accepted as a participant in world-renowned, Dr Patch Adams’s Health Care Intensive Training in the USA. She worked with Patch exploring the relationship between health, humour, community and the arts.

Stephanie is often booked to speak and provide Laughology training, in Britain and overseas. She has delivered training at the famous Gesundheit Institute in Virginia, to medical students in Israel, and to organisations nationally and internationally. Stephanie has developed interventions that have been applied in a wide variety of environments dealing with complex public health.

Her qualifications include: An M.A in Laugher, Humour and Personal Growth; B.A Hons in Community Arts; Advanced Skills in Creative Teaching and Cognition, JMU; Graduate of The Health Care Intensive Programme, with Patch Adams MD USA; Graduate of Dr Madan Kataria’s Laughter Techniques Programme; NLP Practitioners Diploma; and is currently working towards her CBT diploma.On top of her busy training schedule, Stephanie is often asked to contribute to popular television programmes, such as Trisha, The Bank of Mum and Dad, BBC’s Heaven & Earth and ITV’s Stand-up Jenny. She is also a regular on BBC Radio
