Victoria Maitland visited Seabrook Primary School for the day to help all year groups and classes activate their growth mindset brains.
The school has already started to use growth mindset in lessons so the workshops were about practical and fun ways to help shift attitude further. Whilst it’s easy to know about the theory of growth mindset, we can all be guilty of - saying we can't do things.
Victoria worked with every class from the reception children right up to year six and turned classrooms into assault courses to find out how brains learn and grow when we give it challenges.
All children had a brilliant time and particularly enjoyed making pictures of a `happy growth mindset brains'. A personal favourite of Victoria’s was the drawing of a brain riding a bike over a rainbow! How happy can you get?
Seabrook Primary school children were left full of smiles and confident to work through new challenges with a growth mindset strategy and learning methods!
