Lead Happiness Consultant Dave Keeling never went to university, so when he got the opportunity to hot foot it 5 miles down the road to the Royal Holloway Student Union venue for a half-day of team building (and pretend he was a student again), he jumped at the chance.
But he wasn’t alone! He was joined by his partner in comedy crime, Stephanie Davies – our Head of Happiness and all-around good egg.
After a lovely onsite latte, the mission of the morning for one hundred members of the marketing department was to encourage, develop and facilitate team communication and engagement.
Dave and Steph created a session that was fast, informative, interactive, and playful. In a variety of ways, they explored:
- How we process thoughts/wonky thinking
- What is a fixed/growth mindset
- Curious questions for unblocking fixed thinking
- CQ+PQ=IQ the formula for engagement
- Metacognition – how to think about thinking
- Expansive thinking for playfulness and innovation
After a morning of thinking, laughs, and positive conversations, everyone created postcards with team commitments that will be posted back to them later – just in time for Christmas!
