The terrible events in Paris earlier this month shocked the world. Two days after the terrorist attacks Laughology was booked to present a keynote speech at the annual Esomar Conference being held there.
That weekend organisers and delegates took the decision to hold the conference despite a very tense and unsure atmosphere in the city.
It was a decision we wholeheartedly agreed with and Stephanie Davies travelled to a shocked Paris to deliver a difficult but very timely message about the importance of resilience and hope, both in business and beyond.
Several delegates had been in the affected areas on the night of the attacks and told stories of being locked inside restaurants for safety as gunmen marauded through the surrounding streets.
Despite the situation, the conference was a big success and Stephanie’s speech was well-received. Over the years Laughology has had the pleasure of presenting at several events in Paris, which we know will remain a beautiful, vibrant, diverse city. We send our thoughts and wishes to the Parisian people and hope to see them again soon in happier circumstances.
