According to research, more people are afraid of speaking in public than dying… Yup, you heard that right! They’d rather die than stand up and present at their own funeral!
The good news is you can learn public speaking skills and Laughology’s Presenting with Humour course is the perfect antidote to any fears. In June Stephanie Davies, Laughology’s Head of happiness and CEO was invited to help support some of the SSP team develop their storytelling and presenting skills.
So she dusted off her microphone to make it sparkle and lead a day of learning that included, how to bring data to life through storytelling, dealing with nerves, presenting with humour, engaging an audience with emotion, and being memorable.
Believe it or not, you can learn to be funny and the SSP shone in this part of the course. People who attended the day shared comments and feedback such as:
