Practice what you teach

Southend Primary head teachers got together for some well-deserved down–time away from the classroom recently to connect, relax and share experiences – and to let someone else be in charge for a change!

We were there to help the evening event along. Kerry Leigh had the early evening slot when bottles had been opened and hair let down. The delegates had great fun playing Laughology games and being entertained with comedy.

The event had a serious purpose whoever, and served as a reminder of the importance for those in a senior role to be playful and imaginative just as their pupils are encouraged to be.

It’s not all OFSTED and SATS. Quite simply, happy heads = happy teachers = happy children.
