Positivity in the workplace

Local authorities continue to face the challenge of delivering great service with fewer resources. Over at Kirklees Council, forward-thinking Head of organisational change Julie Fothergill understands that big change needs to be supported by emotionally competent and optimistic leaders, so she called in Laughology to give her leaders the tools they will need.  In two workshops delivered by Laughology’s Kerry Leigh, leaders were shown practical skills to help them develop emotional intelligence and resilience.  The interactive sessions helped individuals understand how to motivate, engage, promote resilience and encourage positive mind-sets within their teams.

Delegates learned how our FLIP technique allows individuals to reframe situations and find positive ways forward in times of challenge.  The aim of the sessions was to help leaders feel in control and

empowered and to give them the ability to pass a positive mind-set on to their teams.

The sessions were well received and some great ideas were shared.
