The Police Federation of England and Wales hosted a Women in Policing national event last month where Laughology spoke about menopause awareness.
The event follows a well-received project that we have been involved in with West Midlands Police Force. This was the subject of a recent ITV Tonight documentary. Police forces across the UK are taking the lead in addressing menopause issues and we are proud to be at the forefront of the debate.
Sadly, many workplaces still shy away from discussing the issue and so offer little support to employees when they go through the menopause. This is counter-productive as workforces are getting older and the issues will affect increasing numbers of individuals.
Our training uses humour as a positive tool to break down barriers to discussions for men and women. It also explores ways to help improve working conditions for those affected.
