Embracing change at Breckland and South Holland Councils

Times, they are a’changing for the environmental health teams at Breckland and South Holland Councils.

With new software systems and different ways of working on the horizon, the leadership team called in Laughology to ensure that everyone embraces change, has a positive outlook and is solution-focused in the coming weeks and months.

Sarah Creegan headed off to King’s Lynn for a lovely, lively couple of days with the teams. Full-day sessions looked at how and why we react to challenging situations in the way we do, the importance of having a growth mindset in times of change and how the organisation can develop a Flip It Thinking approach.

Feedback from the sessions was ‘amazing’ (their word, not ours). People spoke highly of the fun that they’d had, whilst recognising how much they had learnt and how many top tips and strategies they now have to take back to their day jobs. They also really enjoyed the opportunity to work and have a laugh with colleagues – who they usually only speak to on the phone or via email.
