Creativity and innovation workshop with Network Rail

Sometimes the name ‘Laughology’ on an agenda can make people wary.

When the team at Network Rail saw that Sarah Creegan from Laughology was delivering a session on their planning day, they feared fake fun, jazz hands and balloon animals.

Instead, they got a 2-hour session on Creativity and Innovation, which generated lots of conversation and ideas as to how they can make improvements to how they work within their strong safety culture.

During the session, Sarah introduced Laughology’s simple but effective ‘Curious Questions’ technique, which the team used later in the day to help them come up with creative solutions to their workplace problems.

Feedback said, “Everyone was very positive about the content and style, and we got some good initial output in the afternoon.”

Of course, there were lots of laughs to be had, too.

As always, though, the fun activities and stories that help people to think creatively, learn and remember were underpinned by research, neuroscience and psychology – and there wasn’t a balloon poodle in sight!

If you’d like some learning and development for your workplace or organisation, get in touch with doug@laughology.co.uk – he won’t produce any balloon poodles either. He makes a wicked giraffe, though, but only if you ask him nicely.
