The excitement of popping into London and pretending you’re a bonafide commuter never loses its appeal for Lead Happiness Consultant, Dave Keeling.
So armed with his Metro, packed lunch and a big grin, he stood up the entire way into the heart of the capital to deliver a half-day workshop on creative facilitation and presenting skills to employees of a wealth and investment company.
The session was designed to enable the participants to feel more confident and effective in communicating and managing meetings, facilitation and conversations.
The session explored in a variety of interactive ways:
- Warm-ups to relax and engage the audience both physically and mentally
- How to start a session effectively and establish rules/expectations
- What do great speakers/facilitators do?
- The art of engagement – through good humour ingredients
- Thinking and communication styles
- Expansive thinking and to help promote creativity and innovation
- Reductive thinking and how to manage difficult groups
The session was lively throughout with great conversations, lots of laughs and enough tips, tricks and techniques to keep the participants on their toes and build their confidence in future interactions.
Dave returned home with the Evening Standard, an empty pack-up and a seat on the 15.20 out of Waterloo.
Job done.
