At Cheshire east council Laughology helped a group of graduates who wanted to increase their skills in public speaking and presentation skills. As they sat nervously in a council training room there were lots of questions about public speaking, said to be one of the greatest fears in the world.
Unsurprisingly a lot of fears around speaking were unearthed, which were unpicking in no time at all. ‘What happens if you forget?’…’What if someone asks me a question?’…’ I’m worried I will shake’… Using practical exercises and easy-to-use tips based on experience of speaking on the business circuit as well as stand -up comedy, the group felt empowered and were all thinking and presenting differently by the end of the session.
Laughology will be returning to Cheshire East in July delivering a session on communication skills to help the graduates increase their skills further.
