Laughologist Dave Keeling is a professionally trained actor and so was thrilled to be invited to Stratford Upon Avon, home of the Bard. As a young thesp, Dave always wanted to work at the RSC.
He’d have settled for the BBC, but ended up at KFC. Whilst he didn’t get to tread the boards at The Swan, he did get to flex his performance muscles half a mile down the road at the Crown Plaza. The event was hosted by Venners; stock takers, compliance auditors and consultants to the hospitality trade since 1896.
The day was split into four 45-minute breakout sessions where Dave’s objective was to motivate staff, give them a different perspective on daily issues and help foster a better team spirit. Dave achieved this by looking at collaboration, the power of laughter and humour in creating more positive choices and the amazing brain and how it works. All this was interspersed with practical activities, conversations and lots of laughs.
