Don’t Look Back in Anger – a webinar to start 2021 with positivity

We at Laughology love to give a bit back (well Dave does, as long as he gets a Curly Wurly).

So to combat the woes of Lockdown 3, and in conjunction with Blue Monday, (allegedly the most depressing day of the year), it was decided that Laughology HQ would do a special free webinar for anyone who was:

  • Feeling a ‘bit blue’
  • Having wonky thoughts
  • Struggling to find the energy and humour to push on through
  • Simply wanting to have a bit of a giggle on a Monday lunchtime

The session was hosted by Head of Happiness, Stephanie Davies, and Lead Happiness Consultant, Dave Keeling, and was a fast paced interactive and irreverent look back on the last 10 months and some of the more interesting behaviours that have come out of it.

It explored why humour, as well as the application of a laughter lens on difficult times, can allow us to flip our perspectives during challenging times and approach them with more optimism and hope. The 45 minutes was full of tips and tricks to shift our focus from concern to influence, helping us to feel more in control.

It also looked at how confirmation bias can blind us to the opportunities that are around us every day; the power that curiosity plays in developing new relationships and maintaining existing ones; how to deal with difficult conversations and why kindness matters.

There was much laughter, learning and a little bit of love – and the interaction from the participants was top notch throughout. Prizes were given away for answers, funny comments and positive contributions – even Dave got his Curly Wurly!

No longer a Blue Monday but a happy one.

If you missed it the first time, you can watch the replay and get your giggle on.
