Laughologist, Sarah Brown, was invited to Vodafone to work with 35 of their new graduate apprentices. For many of them, this was their first job role and they required some tips, tricks and techniques to help set them up for success.
The 90-minute session on FLIP-it Thinking was designed to encourage conversation, challenge their thinking and give them a toolkit to build their confidence.
The virtual session was interactive and engaging with lots of chat and fun. Sarah also used a couple of breakout rooms to build new relationships and share ideas, of which there were plenty.
The group discussed:
- What fixed and growth mindsets look like within the working environment and how they can help each other to be more growth
- How the use of positive language can help change their perspective
- How to spot unhelpful habits in themselves and others
They also explored the use of humour and laughter to change negative thinking patterns and the ABC method for future-focused action.
The graduates left the session knowing a little more about each other, as well as with some tips and techniques to build their confidence and set them up for success. There were plenty of smiles too!
