Dave Keeling loves his food, so an invite to Marks and Spencer’s HQ in London filled him full of promise (perhaps a trolley dash around a food Hall?).
Whilst he didn’t get a trolley dash, he did get to spend 90mins with the M&S food team on FLIP-it Thinking. The afternoon slot was designed to get them energised, thinking, and laughing at the end of a testing year
The session explored the four component parts of FLIP, which are:
- Focus
- Language
- Imagination
- Pattern Breaking
Despite the constant pull of the food hall downstairs, Dave managed to cram in lots of ideas, such as:
- DOSE of happiness
- Fast Slow thinking
- Circle of control
- The 3 N’s – to help neutralise negative thoughts
- Good humour ingredients
- Power of words
- Cycle of change
And, most importantly, why Dave doesn’t like casseroles – even if they are M&S ones!
The session flew by, crammed full of laughs, as well as actionable learning, stories and conversations that enabled the gathered throng to think better thoughts and take more positive actions.
And if you don’t believe him, here’s a bit of feedback from the organiser:
“You absolutely smashed it – again, obvs – thank you so much.
Your advice is like medicine. I’ve already had an infinitely more positive and fulfilling week just for the three Ns.”
If you’d like Dave – or any of the Laughology team – to ‘smash it’ with a workshop at your workplace or organisation, email doug@laughology.co.uk and he’ll be able to help you.
