Boosting resilience with FLIP-it Thinking at Corteva

Much like the Bard himself did, Laura Drury loves a day out in Stratford upon Avon, especially when it’s an opportunity to meet up with a group of people who want to have a FLIP‘pin good time.

And that’s exactly what she did with Corteva, accompanied by our very own Doug from Laughology HQ!

Invited along to help boost resilience and provide some light relief as part of their team day out, Laura delivered the ever-popular FLIP-it Thinking session. As well as discussions around what resilience is and how you can best support and manage your own, FLIP-it Thinking is introduced as a memorable, practical tool based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

FLIP stands for:

  • Focus
  • Language
  • Imagination
  • Pattern Breaking

Each area was brought to life through a fun activity, which not only caused a lot of laughter and connection between the team but also helped cement the understanding of why resilience is important and how to manage it better.

After a morning of making, baking, and eating, the Corteva team arrived ready for whatever challenges were thrown their way. Much hilarity was had, especially when the string handcuffs came out… even Doug got involved!

Intrigued? Why not have a look at the FLIP it Thinking session, or even better, contact Doug to find out more doug@laughology.co.uk …probably best not to mention the handcuffs, though…
