As part of a jam-packed week of learning at Nandos, Laura from Laughology was asked to do a virtual session of their hottest sauce, sorry session, FLIP-it Thinking.
FLIP it Thinking is a practical, tangible model based on cognitive behavioural therapy that helps people build resilience and confidence, and stop flapping. Okay, we’ll stop with the bad puns now…
Throughout the session, Laura helped the team look at:
- What resilience is and how can we get more of it
- Using humour to think and feel better & break unhelpful patterns
- The FLIP it Thinking toolkit; Focus, Language, Imagination and Pattern Breaking for feeling calm and in control
- Techniques to focus mental energy and think positively rather than reactively
Not to forget how helpful humour and laughter are in managing our stress levels and helping us to think and feel better!
Despite being virtual, the session was still very interactive, including drawing, discussion and power posing!
If you’re unsure what that is, we can assure you it has nothing to do with the Birdie dance. Oops, sorry… couldn’t resist!
