Supporting HCRG Through Change

Stephanie is often called upon to support organisations through change programmes. Change can be challenging for many reasons – a new role requiring fresh skills, shifts in colleagues and team dynamics, or changes to environments and ways of working. Left unsupported, these transitions can leave people feeling stuck, unsettled, or even unhappy.

This is where Laughology thrives. By blending behavioural change techniques with humour, we help people reframe challenges, build resilience, and think differently about change.

So, when Stephanie was invited to work with the brilliant teams at HCRG this month, she rolled up her sleeves and got stuck in – guiding them through a major change programme with positivity, practicality, and plenty of laughter.

Healthcare doesn’t stand still, and neither does HCRG. The team are pioneering fresh approaches to service and system design, which means change is constant. And let’s be honest: change can be uncomfortable.

Stephanie worked with individuals and teams to explore:

  • Behaviours that support or block change
  • The challenges of adapting in the moment
  • How to think differently to create better outcomes for customers

The session struck the balance between sensitivity and stretch – recognising the emotions that big changes stir up, while also encouraging people to embrace new ways of thinking and working.

It was the first step in a longer programme of support, designed to give the HCRG team the tools, resilience, and humour needed to lead the way in healthcare innovation.
