High Performance Culture Programme

Creating performance that’s people-centred, not KPI-obsessed.

High performance has a branding problem.

For many organisations, it still conjures up images of pressure, pace and people burning out quietly while results are celebrated loudly. Targets are hit, dashboards look healthy, yet somewhere beneath the surface, trust erodes, silos grow and learning slows.

We don’t believe that’s high performance. We believe it’s short-term output with long-term risk.

At Laughology, we help organisations build high-performance cultures that are people-led, strategically focused and commercially effective. Cultures where people think clearly, work well together and deliver results without sacrificing trust, wellbeing or long-term sustainability.

Because people create performance, but culture determines how.

The outcome

Organisations that work with us see:

  • Clearer priorities and stronger alignment
  • Improved accountability and ownership
  • More confident, capable leaders
  • Teams that collaborate rather than compete
  • Sustainable performance without the burnout

Because real high performance isn’t about individual heroics. It’s about how people think, learn and perform together.

What do we mean by a high-performance culture?

A high-performance culture is one in which people are clear on priorities, confident in their roles, and able to think strategically about how their work connects to the bigger picture.

Teams in these cultures:

  • Understand what success looks like and how it’s measured
  • Take ownership and responsibility for outcomes
  • Have honest, straight-talking conversations without hiding behind corporate buzzwords
  • Feel psychologically safe to challenge, experiment and learn
  • Make stretch mistakes, not careless ones, and learn fast
  • Work efficiently, speak up when there’s a better way and work well across teams and departments

High performance is not about driving outcomes at any cost. It’s about creating the conditions where people can perform consistently, intelligently and together.

What our High Performance Culture programme focuses on

Our programme brings together the behavioural, psychological and strategic elements that drive sustainable performance.

We focus on:

People and behaviour

Building psychological safety and trust so people feel confident to contribute, challenge and take responsibility.

Clarity and accountability

Helping leaders and teams set clear goals, define expectations and understand where they sit on the performance spectrum, including how to move forward.

Strategic thinking

Supporting people to step out of reactive “doing” and into purposeful, joined-up thinking that links individual work to team, organisational and strategic priorities.

Ownership and responsibility

Creating cultures where people don’t wait to be told, don’t deflect blame and don’t prioritise their own success at the expense of others.

Learning that sticks

Embedding reflection, feedback and action learning so performance improves over time, not just immediately after a workshop.

Who this is for

This programme is designed for organisations that understand that sustainable success starts with people. It works particularly well for:

  • Senior leadership teams
  • Leaders and managers at all levels
  • Cross-functional teams
  • Organisations navigating growth, change or transformation

It’s ideal for HR and L&D teams looking for measurable behaviour change, not just another training event.

What makes Laughology’s approach different?

We don’t do bland. We’re allergic to boring. So, instead, we combine psychology, behavioural science and humour to make learning stick. Our facilitation is warm, challenging and grounded in real workplace behaviour. It’s not just theory for theory’s sake.

We help leaders:

  • Have better conversations
  • Think more strategically
  • Balance ambition with humanity

Create environments where people perform because they want to, not because they’re forced to

High performance, the Laughology way, is commercially focused and deeply human.

How the programme is delivered

We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we create a bespoke experience tailored to your existing frameworks, language, and priorities.

The High Performance Culture programme can be delivered in two main ways:

  • One-day High Performance Culture workshop

A high-impact session that creates shared understanding, alignment and momentum. Ideal as a reset, kick-off or leadership intervention.

  • Programme-based approach

A series of shorter workshops delivered over time, with action learning sets, reflection and practical application between sessions. This approach allows behaviours to embed, conversations to continue and learning to link directly to organisational strategy and real business challenges.

Both formats can be delivered face-to-face, virtually or as a hybrid.

What people say

The facilitator was great, broke down barriers and ensured everyone got involved with the very high energy levels of the presentation, successfully managed to bring some quite reserved people out of their comfort zones.
Natwest
It was the best session I’ve ever attended. The interactive aspects and exercise to create a product to make us think outside the box were brilliant and I could see how I could use them back in work.
