Out and about

Stephanie Davies and Dave Keeling tackled the great outdoors earlier in March when they addressed a conference of volunteers and staff from the Outward Bound Trust; an educational charity that uses the outdoors to help develop young people from all walks of life.

The event was held in the Lake District and Laughology was tasked with giving the Trust’s already brilliantly educated teams new skills to help them in their work. The Trust encourages and motivates young people and in our Sunday session we looked at how to do this further by using humour and laughter to leverage growth mind-set.

Dave and Stephanie discussed how humour can be used to communicate messages, shift mind-set forward and break barriers. They also discussed FLIP and the five elements of the happiness; coping skills, confidence, support, positive relationships and achievement and success. The dynamic session was a lot of fun and delegates left feeling motivated and informed.
