“The work Laughology is doing is great, its really is important to laugh and keep you sense of humour through life’s ups and downs. It was something that kept me going after my surgery recently and why I am using humour and laughter to help raise money for the wonderful team of people that helped look after me.”

Stand up for Claire House - You could be the next Claire House Comedian of the Year!
January 2010

We are thrilled to announce that Laughology are going to work with Claire House Children’s Hospice again this year to train and crown the Claire House Comedian of the Year 2010 in their Stand Up for Claire House. It is free to take part: so if you fancy having a go at getting people’s chuckle muscles working, please sign up to take part.

We will work with individuals throughout the northwest to train each one to become a stand-up comedian. Training in the art of stand-up comedy will be provided by Director of Laughology, Steph anie Davies. Steph anie is no stranger to stand-up having performed throughout the UK for over 8 years. Last year bankers, cabbies, public health specialists, retail managers, and local community wardens left the comfort of their workplaces to compete for the title of ‘Claire House Comedian of the Year, 2009’.

On completion budding comedians will get to perform a comedy spot when they battle it out to win the title of Claire House Comedian of the Year, 2010. This event is being sponsored by Laughology so places are free. One person per organisation can take part and you, your friends, family and colleagues will get a chance to buy tickets for the event and watch you perform. All proceeds for the event will go to Claire House. Claire House is a centre of excellence providing 24 hour respite, palliative, and terminal care for children and young people from 0 - 23 years of age with a life threatening or life limiting illness, and their families.

If you are interested in talking part please contact stephanie@laughology.co.uk.
